Unconfirmed News: DC United signs Liberian Goalkeeper (Updated: Confirmed)
By: jon | August 7th, 2008From a number of sources, both in English and otherwise, it appears we have signed another goalkeeper. Louis Crayton, formerly of FC Basel in Switzerland, appears to be on his way to the Nation’s Capital to provide our buddy, Zach, with some competition.
Here is a picture of him. He looks strong.

We’ll see how this goes, and I’ll update this post with proof when we have some confirmation.
AND here’s your confirmation.

Were I a fan of some other team I would have a blast making fun of many things in that picture. Of course, I’d be a fan of a crap team, so there’s that.
MLSnet.com calls this the time of year when the schedule is draining. Does that make it a good thing that some of our stars are missing it?
Wells is playing better and better. He has shown a more aggressive side to his play over the last five or six weeks and is STARTING to win me over. I agree he needs competition, but you have to admit the timing is a little funny, coming after his first shutout.
With the Open Cup semi on Tuesday (thank god Parkhurst is in the red for this one), me thinks United may start the B team against CSKA New Jersey. What is the B team favored by?
Smarter than a 5th grader? Not Kevin Goldthwaite.
Thanks for the updates, the vids, and your efforts. Damn the man, slay the empire!
