SuperLiga Starts, and I’m An Idiot
By: Max J. | July 25th, 2007So LA and Dallas went out and predictably made me look like a moron, putting up good fights in both games and generally looking like they care about SuperLiga. Now the team we’re actually interested is up, and The DCenters have this to say:
I know many fans won’t care about the Superliga until it does become a big tournament (if it ever does) but remember that DC United has always been about winning things first.
Very true. I do want United to go out and deliver some righteous ass-whippings, I just think we won’t and shouldn’t given the current situation on the bench. If DC United has always been about winning things first, I’d say the league is always the first thing to win. But I’m glad to find out the let’s-punt-this-one virus isn’t as widespread among MLS’ SuperLiga entrants as I would have thought. The tournament certainly looks a lot better than it did 24 hours ago.
All this having been said, knowing nothing about Morelia and doing the Tony Limarzi thing again for this game, I will arbitrarily call a 1-1 draw tonight.
