TORONTO HERE COMES THE MIGHTY BLACK AND RED!

By: Nando | May 17th, 2007

First here are your candidates for the the MLS all-star ballots:
Troy Perkins
Bobby Boswell
Bryan Namoff
Facundo Erpen
Josh Gros
Brian Carrol
Fred
Christian Gomez
Ben Olsen
Clyde Simms
Luciano Emilio
Jamie Moreno

Apparently Bryan Namoff is not worthy of the nomination according to DC United. You can start voting May 16th but nothing is up yet! LATE BREAKIN NEWS! Heres the latest update for Insider and all around know it all Steven Goff.

Bryan Arguez has been called up to play for the U-20 National Team against Argentina on May 15th, you can see highlights at as well as
some behind the scenes. Arguez will be on the roster for the trip up to Toronto. Edwin Twesigomwe’s trial ended with out an for the Fulham Youth Academy player, no commens from the coaching staff?!

Goff reports that Soehn did not find any players in Poland or they come not come to a deal.

Now for the first trip up north to TOronto who just won their first game of the season versus the Fire. I watched the game against Houston last night and the team is quick and fast but I think United will do very well with Gomez and Emilio. I predit a 2-1 victory and heres to hoping that its not bobble head night at BMO field because those things would hurt if they got thrown on the pitch. I admire the fans in Toronto for their fervor and passion and I dont think the DC players will be intimidated in the least by the crowd in fact they will probably feel at home!

ALL STAR!

Easier said than done. I ran into a few Houston players after the game Wednesday and they said that they never heard anything like what they heard at BMO field. They would never report that on record, but they felt the crowd and it definitely affected them. DC often plays in front of great crowds at home, but BMO Field has to be experienced to believe the hype. It is truly amazing.
