Chicago beat us in the playoffs (no for the first time) last year. They're considered by many neutrals to be one of the stronger teams in MLS. The game is in Chicago, home base for recent addition Brian McBride. Yes, he is closer to the end of his career than the beginning...but he also is at the least, in good fitness right now and accustomed to a higher level of defense than any team in MLS (even the mighty Black & Red) might be expected to put forth.

DC United on the other hand, is in ____ shape. We're on a 1 game winning "streak", having demolished a group of 19 year olds and their babysitter last week. Our double secret probation specification X-47 player has not seen action (of any sort) since "Le Tour" because of surgery on or near his greg, though we're told he could play tomorrow, next week, or possibly at some point maybe in the coming weeks, perhaps. This while other, less designated players have returned from different and similar injuries possesing confidence and aplomb in their maiden forays. Our lineup has been altered to the point where predicting one for tomorrow may be an exercise in speculation comparable to Laika the Soviet Space Dog.

Predicting the score of the game? I think THESE experiments have a better chance of success:

Squirrely Stubbs TRIBAL!!

Free Mahi Mahi! Yes, a final is a final, a win is a win, and New England still has a pathetic trophy case. Way to send the fourth graders out to slaughter Nicol.

I do believe it obvious that once we get to full strength we will be verry niice. Guerrero has been good medicine.

My hatred for Chicago is no less diminished now that Chad Fu-king Barrett is gone. It's just less focused, more of an all encompassing hatred. I hope they too get a crazy naked man on their flight.

There's the small matter that it's not Rochester we're rooting for, but Charleston (who the Barra has a great relationship btw). I'll agree with the 2-1 score.

Also, I'm trotting out a new chant with the Barra tonight:

(sung to "leavin on a jet plane)

He's naked, on a jet plane
The Revs will never be the same
They had to grab him, from behind.

Passing out the lyrics at the tailgate. Let's hope for the best!

I think that the USOC is lamesauce in comparison with the Olympic tournament. The USMNT u-23 (+ parkhurst, Mcbride and Guzan) are going to not just get to the quarter finals... They are going to win the group tomorrow by beating Nigeria.
