The All Important Roundup

What a meh week following a meh result, that I couldn’t see. Gotta love when a game isn’t on, and you have to catch whatever you can online. So, we all know now that DC lost 2-1 off of a goal by Javier Morales. Before that, United-Slayer Beckerman smacked the crossbar. So, after the first goal by RSL, you really felt that the field tilted their way.

Since the game ended, news came out that Benny O was kept at home by Tom Soehn in an attempt to manage his ankle. Apparently, it’s been getting worse and travel has traditionally been rough on Ben. The goal was to have him as close to 100% for Friday’s game against New England.

Speaking of that, I will not be in attendance, despite my season tickets. I will be attending a wedding this weekend, so, I’ll have to watch from home. As we mentioned before, Olsen should be ready to start, sending Jacobson back to the bench. McTavish and Wicks are probable, moving both to the bench and kicking Peters and Kocic off the gameday roster. I’ll be back closer to Friday to talk more about the game.

- Pat Carroll, Ryan Cordeiro, Jeff Carroll signed with Real Maryland. Good for them. Would have liked to see more of Cordeiro but thats what happens when you reduce roster size.

- Aug 8th is looking more and more likely to be the day that DCU play Real Madrid, but now it appears that they will play at FedEx field. Hey! We can look at where our new stadium WOULD have been!

- Sports Bog looks at Wallace and Pontius’ living arrangements. He loves this stuff.
