Shipalane to remain with DC United for 2010 (UPDATE)

By: jon | November 19th, 2009

Little tidbit: Shipalane will be with DCU next year, says the man himself on Pennlive.com. So, that’s one name you can pencil in for next year.

UPDATE- Now this is funny….when I linked this page earlier today, there was a question in which Shipalane was asked if he knew his situation for the upcoming year, and he replied that the team had told him they wanted him back for 2010, but then, when responding to a comment and rechecking the link, that question was gone…anyone with google cache skills able to grab the original page as of this AM? DCU damage control was pretty damn speedy on this one.

I think you’re reading into things. I didn’t see a single instance at that link where he claimed he’d be back with United next year.

HAHA. The article has changed since I posted it. The question was something to the effect of do you know your situation for next year, and his response was something to the effect of “I’m happy to say that DCU has been in contact with me and they want me back for the 2010 season”/

    That is hilarious.

Interesting. Wonder if he was in contact with Tommy before Tommy decided to step down? We do have Tommy on record as liking Shipalane as a “coachable kid”…

    Thanks for the follow-up.
