This comes from an article by Dan Steinberg about the prevalence of tattoos on the players on DCU this year. Read all about it here, it’s worth it.

Later, he returned to this line of argument.

“It’s like the NBA in 1995,” he told Quaranta. “Tattoos are so ‘95 NBA. Tattoos are done.”

“He’s jealous,” Quaranta said. “He’s got no room for tattoos because of the hair.”

As for the new guys, British midfielder Dan Stratford looks like Kyle Beckerman minus the dreads, according to Coach Tommy Soehn, while Gonzalo Martinez looks like a linebacker and goes by “Chalo,” although he said “Gonzo” is also acceptable. The “which D.C. United player would win a Royal Rumble” question now only has one acceptable answer, and it isn’t even close.
