NEW OWNERS, SOCCER SPECIFIC STADIUM!!!
By: Nando | January 5th, 2007Its 2007 already and we have to yet hear anything other than rumours and an internet confirmation for DC getting a mid-fielder from Brazil.

Inventory check! has traded away Eski, Freddy, Brendan. Dyachenko goes in the expansion draft. Nowak is gone to. D.C. plays in the CONCACAF Champions’ Cup™ sometime over the week of February 20-22 against CD Olimpia then we have either Toluca or Chivas in the Semi- finals. Meanwhile Boswell, Gros, Namoff and Carroll will all be attending the USMNT Camp starting next week in preparation for the Mexico game. The team is in a little bit of limbo right now. So I am hoping for some news and resolutions regarding the players like today!
Monday there is going to be a huge announcement regarding ownership and stadium and there is a whole bunch of suits attending, including some members of Congress. Here is a link to Steven Goff’s article. Very good news indeed!
Here is a list I would also like to hear on Monday
1. Carroll sign right away, obvious he belongs at DC not at Marseille.
2. The designated player and some additional talent from abroad, as long as they score I don’t care where they are from.
3. Who the new jersey sponsor is, I am all about fashion.
So it will be along weekend and I plan on drinking Rock Star and not Red Bull because Red Bull is bad for soccer!
