NATION TEAM CALL UP AND TRADES, DRAFTS AND ……
By: Nando | December 20th, 2006US national coach Bradley calls up 6 DC United players for the January training camp.
Troy Perkins
Bobby Boswell
Bryan Namoff
Brian Carroll
Joshua Gros
Alecko Eskandarian
I definately think the Bradley will be impressed with the work ethic and speed of several of the players. Most likely Carroll who is most likely match fit and Namoff.
Looks like Bradley is looking for new talent and with the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup as well as the 2007 Copa America he will be able to gauge talent for the 2008 WC qualifiers.
Most definately a positive event for the players and DC United.
Steven Goff writes about the defender Brandon Prideaux trade as well
as the interest in Martin Palermo.
My thoughts is that Palermo is very popular in Argentina and would demand a large sum to be come and play in the US and it would not benefit DC to spend the designated player on a
an aging striker. Which comes to mind that there definately needs to be an urgency on picking up a pure striker that come and mesh well with Gomez and Moreno.
Hopefully by January there will some announcements regarding Nowak and the signing of several players from South America.
Off season is painful but luckily every league in the world is in full force for now!
