Midweek News and Notes
By: jon | August 5th, 2008Fresh of the first clean sheet of the year, DC has a week to get ready for New York on Sunday. I like our chances, based on the ability for the new acquisitions to integrate into the team so quickly, and the anemic offense of NYRB. I’ll look for a 3-1 score line, and another 3 points for DC.
Some news:
If you’re a sick kid in a hospital this week, it could be your lucky day (well, sort of). Fred and Gonzalo Peralta are coming to the Upper Cardozo Health Center on Wednesday, as part of a United Reads initiative.
Some blogggggable things:
- This girl likes DC United and Arse-nal. Just like Fighting Talker.
- D does his match recap, doing the dirty work that I didn’t do this weekend, as I was at a wedding (Mazzeltov!).
- The Fullback Files were also pleased with Saturday’s performance.

I guess that’s really it. You all probably saw the game, and it’s already Tuesday. We looked a lot better, and we all hope it can continue. Hard to believe one game erases a whole tournament worth of despair, but I think it did. We still need another goalie, and Kasper has to be looking at bringing in some more talent. Better happen soon.
