Marcelo Gallardo is in the house.

By: jon | January 27th, 2008

And by house, I mean the Washington-Metro Area. Apparently, Steve Goff is hanging out in Terminal B, just waiting to see soccer players.

Who’s Marcello Gallardo? This guy.

Marcelo Gallardo

Here’s more visual evidence.

He wasn’t especially dazzling with PSG, but he does have some skills when he’s near the area. DC is as good a fit as anywhere for him, I think.

Being anal here but Goff wouldn’t be waiting in Terminal B but in main terminal outside customs where all the players would be landing assuming they were going through Dulles and hadn’t connected somewhere else in the US previously (but United runs multiple South American flights through Dulles and I believe multiple direct flights from Europe here). Yes, I have spent way too much time at that airport (flying & working for a year), why do you ask? Oh, and the fed are stupid idiot assholes, I need metro out here, will make it easier to get to RFK/Anacostia/PG County.

Anyway, hope Gallardo et al live up to their promise.

I said Terminal B for no good reason.

dude. im a PSG fan and the last dude obviously doesn’t know about Gallardo. Understandable because it takes a real fan to know about PSG. Anyways here’s his deal. Great player. Very skilled. Doesn’t play the nicest soccer he is more of a fighter type but still has good skill, good passing, and a great shot. And to answer your statement about him not doing anything at PSG. That’s not because he isn’t good. He is good enough to start on a L1 team, even PSG which is full of talent although it doesn’t always transfer onto the field. The reason he didn’t play much or do well at PSG is because he did not get along with the coach. That’s why he left. Unfortunatly last guy to sit on the bench and then leave because of a problem with coach (different coach. Louis Fernandez worst coach ever) was Ronaldinho and I’d say he is okay now… Although I doubt DC will give Gallardo the possibilities Ronaldinho had. He’ll shine in the MLS like all players coming from european leagues

With Moreno, Emilio, Gomez and Niell in the attack line and Marcelo Gallardo as playmaker, the DC United is in route to a sure championship in 2008. Gomez is pivotal in the attack line! Hopefully you don’t let him go.
