LATEST UPDATES, MANCHESTER, TOLUCA, CHIVAS!

By: Nando | December 4th, 2006

Sorry for the delay in posting new info, work and family has taken alot of my time and kept off the blog!

Freddy Adu at Man U Fergie’s statement.
I personally don’t see Freddy fitting in the sytem at Manchester United, their midfield is stacked with talent. I understand Freddy’s value in regards
to marketing but I would rather seen him join Manchester City or Fulham where they love their yanks. Chelsea is another team mention with interest in Adu but there he would be
sitting next Sean Wright-Phillips, I do not see him getting on the pitch with the likes of Ballack, Makelele, Cole, Essien.
He should rather play another season or two with DC and hopefully then he would be able to move to a mid-table team and develop into a much better player.

David Stokes and Brian Carroll are also on trial in Europe. Stokes did not fair very well in Germany with St. Pauli, reviews were quite were not very good and quite harsh.
Carroll is now at Olympique Marseille and no news seems to be good news, I feel that Carroll has a good chance of getting on and he will be missed at DC for sure.

Proposals in regards to the stadium some exiting news and we are all anxious to hear about the new owners as well.

More on the Soccer stadium as well as the team and charitable funtions.

Onalfo beats out DC’s Tom Soehn for the Kansas City head coach job. Some would say it was a good thing but a head coaching job is not easy to come by.

DC United players on Armed Forces Entertainment tour.

Its season of charity Real Madrid-Barcelona Fantasy Trip sounds fantastic anyone care to donate to my bid?

The season for United starts soon now that the Concacaf brackets are posted. DC draws CD Olimpia from Honduras. LUckily the first game of the draw wont be in the cold freezing weather but rather
the warm sunny Honduran weather. I have watched some games and noticed the team has a good defense but they are quite suspect in the midfield and striking position. I foresee a tough game but DC should be able to advance to the next round.

Looks like we will be playing either Toluca or Chivas in the Semis, both are great teams and will pose a challenge to DC United.
