Looks like the new owners wanted to get word out regarding the ownership group as well as the new stadium. I am for one relieved that this is finally done that AEG is not longer part of the DC United organization. There also seems to be a big push regarding the ownership group which is African American, I know that this might offend some folks but I think having one of the few major sport franchises owned by African Americans in the Chocolate City is an asset to the whole DC family, a bonus really especially since the stadium is being built in an area that is 99% African American.
Now that all of the hype and politics and business regarding new owners and stadiums, I wanna hear who is coming to DC, who has been re-signed. FO says deal is on the table for Carroll and his agent says nothing but he has sprain and is going to miss the USMNT camp and is going back to Europe for try outs. L’OM didn’t sign him and I haven’t seen anyone else looking for someone of his talent and caliber, obvious he must want out of the MLS and wants to try his trade in Europe, I would hate to see him disappear into the void of D3 football in Norway or Belgium.
