Hey Readers

Don’t get too excited. Nothing really new to report.

I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and Hanukkah, celebrated religiously or secularly. I hope everyone gets what they want, and I also hope what you “want” is another goalkeeper, a center back, Forward depth, and a solution to our attacking midfield situation. I mean, I know that’s what I want.

    Happy various winter holiday!

By the way, what can you tell me about this kid? Apparently he’ll be training with Hertha in January.

Arguez is a young player who DC sees as having the potential to be a regular in central midfield. However he is currently pretty raw and has seen no first team minutes (being behind Clyde Simms, Brian Carroll, Ben Olsen, Devon McTavish and maybe Jeff Carroll on the depth chart for defensive midfield and not quite an attacking midfielder). You might get more info if you talk to guys who go to reserve games on Sunday morning. He did get some play with the under-20’s but not in Canada where he was either on the bench or not in the squad (but he did make the trip to the World Cup). It’s unlikely to be a transfer just a training arrangement.

and no, bluemeanies isn’t on my payroll.

I also believe he’s a Generation Adidas player, though I could be wrong about that. If we don’t add some strength in the Midfield, he could at least be first off the bench for Clyde. Doubt he’d get minutes at Hertha.

As an interesting (not interesting at all) note, I’ve been in their official team store in Berlin. Isn’t that AWESOME!??!

It definitely seems like it’s more of a training arrangement, but I’d be a negligent blogger if I didn’t at least ask about him. Good to get some information!

The store is awesome! And they’ve got one in the Hauptbanhof, which is definitely more interesting to browse while waiting for a train than the other stores…
