Guy Roland Kpene was cut by DC United today. Worst news ever. Kpene was my favorite under-achieving United player.
I knew something was up this morning when Guy’s facebook status was “gone”. I thought, maybe he was going on vacation, but no. The dream is over. The world is a little less joyous today.

  …..and now he doesn’t play?…..

  Catherine, CAM is central attacking midfielder.

  Dave, he could probably do that. He can play a possession game, and distribute decently, he just can’t finish for some reason.

  I liked him a lot, but I really didn’t see a place for him on the team this year. With Emilio and Moreno starting and Niell and Tino on the bench, Kpene would’ve been wasting his time here as a #5 forward. Better to go someplace else to further his career.

  As Cezar is younger, there’s more room for him to develop and work his way up.

  Also, it was unbelievably stupid of Guy to show up out of shape. He knew the situation he was in, he should’ve been ready.
