By: jon |If you live in or around DC, and you read this blog, you have no excuse to miss this game.
August 25th, 2008
By: jon |With 9 games remaining, DC United sit at 31 points, and tied for forth in the Eastern Conference. In the next 2 months, they have 7 additional matches to play, including the US Open Cup final, and CONCACAF Champions League Group play. DC will obviously want to win the Open Cup, as it [...]
Post Game- Colorado 0, DC United 3
By: jon |I have got to get out of this habit of only posting post game reports…
I was there last night, and I was fairly pleased. I say fairly because there were some stupid passes in the midfield, and some questionable play by certain players (I’m looking your way Emilio), and because we SHOULD get three [...]
The Rematch: New England Revolution vs DC United
By: jon |1 week ago, DC dispatched a New England reserve side and advanced to the finals of the US Open Cup.
This week, DC plays NE again. The faces have changed, but may the result be no different.
Again, Matt Reis will not be playing, but NE looks to have more of its attacking options with them, [...]
Post Game Recap- DC 1, Chicago 0
By: jon |Well, that was not quite a goal fest, but I don’t think we thought it would be. Crayton had a strong first game, and commanded his box. He was as advertised. Clean sheet in his first game…Zach has to be nervous with those kind of results. Think he’ll play in reserve [...]

Game Thread: DCU 1 NYRB 2 at Half
By: jon |Looks like a good, competitive, fiery match. First 20 minutes were all DCU, the next 10 were all NY, and after that it was fairly balanced. The wings have been aggressive, and Fred has been phenomenal. Full of energy and inventive. Best match by him in weeks.
Defense has done well, although [...]
Pre Game: DC United at New York Red Bulls
By: jon |Far be it for me to neglect you, readers, on the day before the classic NY-DC matchup up at the stadium named after my NFL team.
From what I can gather, DC is using this game as a chance to work back in some players coming off of injury. On turf, I’d have [...]
Unconfirmed News: DC United signs Liberian Goalkeeper (Updated: Confirmed)
By: jon |From a number of sources, both in English and otherwise, it appears we have signed another goalkeeper. Louis Crayton, formerly of FC Basel in Switzerland, appears to be on his way to the Nation’s Capital to provide our buddy, Zach, with some competition.
Here is a picture of him. He looks strong.
We’ll see how [...]
